☆ 18th birthday desserts + food + gets ☆

Hi everyone!

Last weekend, I celebrated my 18th birthday in Japantown, San Francisco.

This was my outfit:

We went to Kushitsuru for a meal and the first round of dessert:

The desserts that day:
anmitsu and mochi ice cream
It was all so yummy!! Back to my diet now though. (*´ο`*)=3

I bought a couple of things in Japantown and Pacific East mall:

A stand-up mirror to carry in my purse and a pair of bottom eyelashes.

And orchids! Having plants in my room always makes me happier.

This weekend my friends and I went to a new Frozen Yogurt shop. There weren't enough sour and fruity flavors in my opinion (alot of chocolates and cremes), but it was still yummy:

Then yesterday, a birthday present arrived from the Japanese student I hosted this summer. I was so excited to open it!
Everything was so cute! I'm using the planner every day now.

The things I carry in my bag are all organized now instead of all loose and flying around:

That's all for now

Bye bye!

Natural 3tones Green Lens Review for lensvillage.com

Hi everyone!

lensvillage.com sponsored a pair of lenses for me to review, and I picked out the Dolly Eye Natural 3tones Green lenses!

I received the lenses two weeks after ordering them, nicely wrapped inside a lensvillage.com box. They came with an animal case!

(left: without; right: with Natural 3tones) I was really excited to get my first colored lenses since I've been sticking with grey ones the past few years, and I got these pretty ones. Sadly, I have been putting off reviewing these for a couple of months because I could hardly keep them in my eyes to take one picture, they are so extremely uncomfortable! :( I feel like there's something poking a certain spot in my eye when I put them on, they're extremely dry and scratchy right away, and I can't see clearly out of them because the color goes too far into the middle. So sadly, I won't be wearing these at all.

comfort: --
enlargement: ★ (they're natural and not for enlarging)

Lensvillage.com was alright in communication and shipping speed, although when they told me to contact them if there were any problems and I did because of the lack of comfort of the lenses, they did not respond for two weeks until I sent them an email saying that I will just review the lenses this weekend.
Will I be using their service again? Probably. I think there's room for improvement because they are a new company in the market, and it was technically my fault for ordering such uncomfortable lenses, right?

☆ going out for all-you-can-eat sushi ☆

Hi everyone!

Today my friends and I went to our usual all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant to hang out before they left back to college.
We always forget to take photos of our food any time we go to restaurants because as soon as the server puts it in front of us to eat it... nothing else matters!
But luckily I remembered to get some photos this time (at least of round 2 and 3 ;D).

some green tea ice cream to cool us off:

Decided to wear circle lenses today even though wearing anything but my regular Acuvue lenses has been getting more and more uncomfortable... Circle lenses always sting when I put them in! Anybody have advice on what's wrong?

The only outfit shot of the night:

Good night everyone! I'm off to bed (not in my makeup though):

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year's Eve!

I finally got an iphone! It's amazing and I can take photos much easier now (amongst other things).

I went over to my friend's house after we dressed up.
Here is my outfit:

We gave our friend Soo her New Year's kiss:

Then we celebrated with cake, and I downloaded Instagram:

I'm glad I still have one more week of Christmas break from school, but last week was so busy!
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012!

Bye bye,

little update

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had great holidays and will have fun on New Year's!
I can't believe I haven't posted in a month and a half, sorry dear followers. :(

Here are some pictures:

a giant mutant lemon named Monsieur Lemon
BB Straight for frizzy hair and styling. It works pretty well to reduce frizz, but not the best product ever.
A new blush, jade green nail polish, and a brown sugar lip moisturizer by fresh.
Also got gifts for reward points: A small Miss Dior - Cherie. Love this scent! I like this season's version more than last season's because it's less musky and more floral.
Then there's a NARS primer, which works wonderfully! My skin is never oily by the end of the day anymore and it keeps my makeup looking fairly fresh.

Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco

I really want to get my hair bleached to a bright blonde like bubblipop.blogspot.com. I think it's SO pretty!
I also bought heeled boots by Seychelles, which I'll try to show in the next post!

Bye bye,
Nana

recent buys + update

Hi everyone!

Oh my gosh, I haven't blogged in over half a month already, I'm sorry. TT
It will hopefully change now that I got my first sponsor, I plan to be less lazy, and it's the holiday season!

Yesterday, I went to San Francisco to watch the FIDM Debut Runway Show. It was my first runway show I've seen, and I was fascinated by the models and the way in which the garments flow and move, but the designs were so-so. If I ever study fashion, yesterday kind of gave me the opinion that I should do it outside of the US.

I didn't get any photos of my own, but here are a few from FIDM's flickr:

Although it was the Versace for H&M event this Saturday, I only made it to the store around 5pm and there wasn't much left except one rack of dresses... I watched the news on tv that people were camping out the night before to get in.

Here are some of the things I bought in the past few weeks:

And some outfits:

Last weekend, my friend and I went for a walk after a small snowfall and I took some photos:

We saw a porcupine, but it was too far away for a clear photo. :( It was so cute! When it heard us, it started hobbling away slowly because it can't run. I feel lucky that I've seen both a porcupine and a buck (aside from the usual deer, bears, raccoons) here and I don't even go out into nature that often.

The reason I haven't been blogging much is because I spend all my free time reading. I think I mentioned reading Jane Eyre or Pride and Prejudice in my past blog post from a few weeks ago... since then, I've read Sense and Sensibility, the plays M. Butterfly and Death of a Salesman, and Slaughterhouse Five: Now I'm reading The Great Gatsby, since I've seen the movie but haven't read the book. And in class we're reading Heart of Darkness.

Lastly, some inspo pictures from Tumblr:
